First-Time Pet Charter Guide

First-time guide to flying with your pet on a private jet. What to expect, how to prepare, common concerns addressed, and step-by-step booking process.

If you have never flown with your pet on a private jet, the process is simpler than you expect. No cargo holds. No anxiety about breed bans. No weight limits. Your pet sits with you in the cabin. Here is what happens from booking to landing.

The Booking Process

Contact The Jet Finder. Tell us your route, dates, and that you are traveling with a pet. Provide the breed, weight, and number of animals. We select an aircraft with an appropriate cabin and a pet-friendly operator. You receive a quote — pet travel adds little to no cost.

What to Expect at the FBO

You arrive at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) — a private terminal, not the commercial airport. Walk your pet on the grass area outside. Complete brief paperwork. Walk directly from the FBO lounge to your aircraft — a 30-second walk. No security lines. No crowds.

During the Flight

Your pet rides in the cabin. Most dogs and cats settle within 5–10 minutes of takeoff. The cabin is pressurized, temperature-controlled, and quiet. Flight attendants (on larger aircraft) can assist with water and accommodation. You land, walk off the plane, and you are done.
