Napa County Airport (KAPC) is widely known as 'the Skyport to Wine Country.' Located roughly five miles south of downtown Napa, it puts arriving passengers about a 10-minute drive from the city and 25 to 35 minutes from the heart of Napa Valley's wineries. It serves charter and private aircraft rather than scheduled airlines, making it the natural choice for private travelers headed to the valley.

The field's longest runway, 06/24, measures 5,931 feet of asphalt, with a 5,007-foot parallel and a 2,500-foot GA strip. That capacity accommodates light, midsize and most super-midsize business jets. KAPC is a Class D towered airport (tower frequency 118.7) with the control tower typically staffed from about 0700 to 2000 local; outside those hours standard non-towered procedures apply. The field has an ILS and RNAV (GPS) instrument approaches. There is no on-field U.S. Customs, so international arrivals must clear at a designated port of entry such as Oakland (OAK) or San Francisco (SFO) first.

Napa's Mediterranean climate brings reliable VFR weather much of the year, but coastal and valley morning fog and low marine-layer stratus can push the field to IFR/LIFR before burning off mid-morning. Harvest season and major valley events drive seasonal demand spikes, so ramp space and slots fill quickly in fall. Early departures generally enjoy the most schedule certainty.
